This whisky is a true snapshot in time — captured at a precise moment in its maturation rather than at a set age.

Drawn from our largest cask, a 300-litre Barossa Muscat cask, the spirit was taken just weeks before turning eight years old. Vatted and bottled undiluted at natural cask strength, it showcases the full character of both the distillate and the cask.

Distilled from a single malted barley mash bill, this release highlights the expressive influence of the Muscat cask. During maturation, the original cask heads warped and were replaced two years ago with seasoned ex-red wine heads (in the absence of suitable Muscat cask heads). They were carefully coopered and fitted with the intention of minimising their impact on the spirit while maintaining the cask’s structural integrity.

The result is a powerful, high-strength whisky that delivers clarity and precision from the distillate, layered with rich Barossa Muscat character and subtle additional complexity.

This is a unique moment in the cask’s journey — one that will never be exactly the same again.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Amber with a soft rose hue.

Nose: Dried vine fruits and rich syrup entwine with bright pear drops and hints of marmalade, elegantly lifted by delicate floral aromatics.

Palate: An initial alcoholic grip softens into notes of honeycomb wax, orange rind, and raisin sweetness, laced with a subtle thread of spice.

Finish: Drying oak lingers, complemented by a subtle touch of dark mānuka honey.

It has been our experience that they showcase their profiles, aromas and drink best around and above room temperature (between 18-23°C).

These whiskies deserve TIME, PATIENCE, and WARMTH in your glass.
